Through DISC, the schools collaborate and compete both academically and athletically. The six member schools are highly-selective, amongst the best known schools in the city and, indeed, the country. Each is particularly well-known for their progressive ethos and for advancements in educational research and pedagogical development.
The Association of Junior Independent Schools (AJIS) is a network of leading private primary-level schools in the independent sector in North West England. Members regularly meet to compete against one another in inter scholastic sports, debate, quiz and other academic and artistic endeavours.
The Mid-Atlantic Prep League (MAPL) is a small sports conference comprised of the top-tier of college-preparatory boarding schools in the mid-Atlantic states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The league’s members compete in a number of inter-varsity sports and adhere to strict criteria regarding student-athlete eligibility, recruitment and programme governance. The member school are amongst the most prestigious schools in North America, if not globally and are extremely competitive academically and athletically, operating highly selective admissions policies.

The conference formalises existing rivalries between the top-tier boarding schools in the region whilst allowing for the development of common approaches to sports governance and athletic admissions to their schools.
The Athletic Conference of Independent Schools of New York City (ACIS) is a New York City sports league comprised of a number of top-tier college-preparatory schools from the five boroughs and Long Island. The member schools (and associates with respect to whichever programme they’re participating in) agree to adhere to a strict set of criteria regarding financial aid for varsity athletes and scholarship students. The schools subscribe to a league constitution that proscribes inclusivity and collaboration on improving access and enhancing standards in sports competition between themselves.
The Founders League was established in 1984 as an interscholastic sports league including a multitude of varsity sports. The membership comprises some of the leading independent university-preparatory schools in the United States and membership is often considered a test of elite status. The league incorporates the Erickson League which existed previously as a football competition between elite prep schools of Connecticut and New York.

Associations, Homepage News, Sports ConferencesThe Independent School League is an interscholastic athletic conference founded in 1948 whose membership is made up of a number of leading New England prep schools, mainly in the Boston area. ISL members (as the league is more commonly known) comprise some of the nation’s most famous and prestigious schools who collaborate and compete academically and athletically. The league operates strict rules regarding athletic scholarships and academic performance whilst also prohibiting the participation of postgraduate students. As such, it has often been referred to as the Ivy League of high schools (a reference enjoyed by a select few other school sports leagues – mostly within NEPSAC).
