The Junior Boarding School Association (JBSA) is a small grouping of select, highly prestigious boarding schools from New England and New York state. They are considered to be the leading feeder schools for pupils intending to apply to the leading college-preparatory boarding schools in the region. The schools were historically regarded as essential stepping stones for the boys and girls of America’s social classes before attending premier boarding schools and, ultimately, matriculating into Ivy League universities and Little Ivy colleges. The Water is Life Schools association is an initiative bringing together internationally-minded, schools with dedicated global citizenship programmes to help face the challenge of ensuring accessible clean water for all. The program was borne of the Global Alliance of Leading-Edge Schools with many of that association’s members also participating in that initiative.

The Globale Gymnasier consortium is a small network of Danish high schools that was founded in 2007. It’s membership is drawn from a select group of the nation’s elite tier of gymnasiums (upper secondary-level schools) that offer outstanding, rigorous academic programmes designed to prepare students for entry into the country’s top universities. The Globale Gymnasier association is designed to promote and further global citizenship and internationally conscious curriculum programmes in each of its member schools whilst, simultaneously, promoting its’ members on a global stage.

The Global Alliance of Leading-Edge Schools (GALES) was founded in 2010 by the prestigious Singapore school, Raffles Institution, who played host for the association’s inaugural conference – TiltShift 2011. Delegates from 20 leading high schools from around the world were invited to participate and to present research and project-based solutions to specific problems facing the world. Since then, GALES has hosted a number of other conferences inviting additional schools to join the organisation.
