DOWNTOWN INDEPENDENT SCHOOL CONSORTIUM (DISC): A COALITION OF FAMOUS PROGRESSIVE PRIVATE SCHOOLS IN LOWER MANHATTAN
The Downtown Independent School Consortium (DISC) is a select group of six famous private schools all located in Downtown New York City. Through DISC, the schools collaborate and compete both academically and athletically. The six member schools are highly-selective, amongst the best known schools in the city and, indeed, the country. Each is particularly well-known for their progressive ethos and for advancements in educational research and pedagogical development.
