Founded in 1971, New York Interschool is a network and consortium of some of the leading private schools in New York City and serves to support the mutual development, administration and staffing needs of its eight member institutions. It is unique, as compared to other such consortia, in its’ focus on the development and training of faculty staff and, particularly, the promotion of diversity. In addition to the eight member schools, the consortium works with a number of associated schools.

FOUNDERS LEAGUE: A MODERN SPORT COMPETITION BETWEEN SOME OF THE NATION’S OLDEST AND MOST FAMOUS SCHOOLS

The Founders League was established in 1984 as an interscholastic sports league including a multitude of varsity sports. The membership comprises some of the leading independent university-preparatory schools in the United States and membership is often considered a test of elite status. ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION OF INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS OF NEW YORK CITY (AAIS): WHERE YOUNG KNICKERBOCKER LADIES FROM THE FINEST SCHOOLS COMPETE

The Athletic Association of Independent Schools of New York City (better known as the AAIS or AAIS NYC) is a girls’ varsity athletic conference composed of some of the leading private independent schools, both co-educational and girls only (though mainly comprised of girls’-only or historically girls’-only schools), in New York City. The league covers a number of intermural sports programmes including: Badminton; Basketball; Cross Country; Indoor Athletics; Lacrosse; Soccer; Softball; Squash; Swimming; Tennis; Track and Field; and Volleyball. INDEPENDENT SCHOOL LEAGUE: A PREMIER ATHLETICS CONFERENCE FOR BOSTON-AREA PRIVATE SCHOOLS

The Independent School League is an interscholastic athletic conference founded in 1948 whose membership is made up of a number of leading New England prep schools, mainly in the Boston area. ISL members (as the league is more commonly known) comprise some of the nation’s most famous and prestigious schools who collaborate and compete academically and athletically. The league operates strict rules regarding athletic scholarships and academic performance whilst also prohibiting the participation of postgraduate students. As such, it has often been referred to as the Ivy League of high schools (a reference enjoyed by a select few other school sports leagues – mostly within NEPSAC).
