The Texas Boarding Schools Association (TSBA) is a small collection of private, boarding schools from across the Lone Star State. Each of the member schools are nationally reputed as amongst the best boarding programmes in the United States.

ABOUT

The Texas Boarding Schools Association was founded in 2018 by four prestigious Texan college-preparatory schools: Brook Hill, Hockaday, St. Stephen’s Episcopal School and TMI Episcopal. San Marcos Academy has since joined the TBSA with Hockaday leaving when the school ended boarding. Today, the association has four members, all of which are faith-based schools offering a dedicated, accredited boarding programme.

The TBSA exists, primarily, as a marketing service to boost awareness of its member schools and to promote Texas as a destination of choice for prospective families exploring boarding options for their children.

The four member schools work together to share best practice ideas and information, to explore admissions policies and initiatives and to agree common ground for marketing efforts. To a lesser extent, the TBSA also engages in lobbying as a representative voice for its membership and for the independent schools sector and/or boarding schools in the state of Texas.

The four member schools are all accredited nationally and are affiliated with The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS), the Texas Private Schools Association (TPSA) and the Western Boarding Schools Association (WBSA).
