Originally founded as a day school for the children of wealthy Bostonians seeking a college-preparatory education for their sons, the school has grown to accommodate a majority of boarders at its sprawling suburban campus. The school has a substantial pedigree and has produced a great deal many scholars and athletes as well as gentlemen in public service.
