The Education Collaborative of Western New York (EdCo / EdCo WNY) is a select consortium of independent schools located around the city of Buffalo in western New York state. Its membership is comprised of a number of leading private schools in the region who collaborate with one another on common academic and administrative initiatives.

The Baldwin League of Independent Schools was a school management group formed in the 1980s which brought a number of well-regarded, highly-ranked New York private schools under a single management structure. The Baldwin League sought to realise efficiencies and synergies between it’s constituent schools, whilst maintaining their respective brands. The schools would effectively merge but would present as a consortium of independent schools.

The Group of Seven is a term for a selective group of elite New England boarding schools which have long regarded one another as peer schools and have a history of collaboration. The term refers to an informal association between the schools and as a collective noun for the schools themselves. The Group of Seven was formally instituted with the creation of the Eight Schools Association, with the seven members extending an invitation to another school with whom they each shared a close relationship.
