SEDBERGH SCHOOL
Sedbergh School is an ancient, independent boarding school in the English Public School tradition. ALDENHAM SCHOOL
Aldenham School is a very well-regarded independent school that offers an excellent education to pupils from the ages of 3 – 18 in a co-educational setting. The school accommodates boarders from the ages of 11 up with some 25% of secondary pupils residing at the school. RUGBY SCHOOL
One of England’s most-celebrated schools, Rugby School is the prototype for the English Public School model. Under the illustrious Thomas Arnold, who was headmaster of the school between 1828 and 1841, Rugby embodied the concept of muscular Christianity and came to define what an English Public School should be. With that came, also, the creation of a code of football which came to be the sport of the English Upper and Upper Middle classes – namely rugby football. Founded in 1912, Hamden Hall Country Day School is one of the pioneer schools of the country day school movement, being the fourth oldest in the United States.
