
ADMISSIONS, MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS IN INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS
Admissions, Marketing and Communications in Independent Schools (AMCIS) is a trade association for professionals working in admissions and promotions in the private schools sector, predominantly within the United Kingdom. The organisation is one of the major British trade bodies representing the interests of independent schools and has been a critical resource for many of the world’s most famous schools.
ABOUT
AMCIS was founded in 1993 and counts more than 500 schools amongst its members, with a number of international members. AMCIS members are able to avail of a substantial body of material to support their efforts in marketing and promoting independent schools and differentiating their offer from competitors in an increasingly globally competitive market.
The Admissions, Marketing and Communications in Independent Schools organisation coordinates regular extensive research projects to help develop best practice models for the sector. Additionally AMCIS hosts regular conferences and training workshops to enable networking and professional development for its members. As one of the recognised major associations in the independent schools sector in the United Kingdom, AMCIS works closely with sister organisations including the Independent Schools Council, Independent Schools’ Bursars Association and the Independent Association of Prep Schools.
AMCIS membership is held by individual professionals rather than the school itself, as such membership varies but has been known to include staff at the below schools recently.
