One of the last traditional preparatory schools in Ireland, Castle Park School has been a first-choice independent private primary school for over 100 years. Located in the leafy suburb of Dalkey in South Dublin, the school occupies a small Victorian castle where it provides a Montessori-inspired education for boys and girls from the ages of 3 – 12. The school is a particularly popular choice for international parents.
ABOUT
Castle Park School was founded in 1904 as an all-boys preparatory school, in the English public school tradition. Boys were instructed in classics and tutored in order to prepare them for entry into the great public schools of the British Isles. Formerly a boarding school, the school has since expanded to include girls and admissions are on a day basis only.
Over the years the school further expanded to include a Montessori school (now the pre-prepratory department) and merged with Brook House, a similarly revered Irish preparatory school.
