One of the two remaining all-boys, all-boarding public schools in South Africa (the other being the school’s rival, Michaelhouse). Hilton College was established in 1872 emulating the great public schools of England and instructing boys in classics for presentation to the major universities. The school maintains a Christian ethos and is held in high regard internationally.
