THE ROXBURY LATIN SCHOOL

The Roxbury Latin School is one of the oldest schools in the United States, having been established in 1645 by Royal Charter of King Charles I. The school, in West Roxbury – a suburb of Boston, sought to instruct a classical education for young men as that of the free grammar schools of the United Kingdom. The school continues to educate boys only as one of the nation’s leading college-preparatory schools.
